Aphrodite Cooks is THE place for cooking classes. I've taken both the "Cooking with Coffee" class and the "Knife Skills" class. Each class I learned new things and left with recipes that I regularly use. Vanessa and the crew know about food and create a wonderful food experience!

Attended an in-person Valentine's event with friends at Aphrodite Cooks. Was a perfect blend of instruction/learning with a fun dining and social experience. Like attending/hosting a dinner party without having to do all the work, and the party always ends up in the kitchen anyhow.

Finesse the owner is an excellent teacher and was able to get everyone involved no matter what age or ability of cooking they came to the class with. The class had a great variety and new twists on old recipes. Definitely a worthwhile experience!

I attended a gluten free baking class recently and it was wonderful. The space is a gorgeous kitchen and the class was really helpful, interesting and I went home with some tasty gluten free treats. Kimberly and Vanessa were both extremely helpful and full of advice. Gluten free snacks and drinks before the class were a great touch. I'd highly recommend their classes and love the space.

I came here with my father for her Father's day Buy your dad a beer + cooking class. The beer and food pairings were not only educational/enriching but gave the ol' wine and food pairing a new and improved twist. My dad has not stopped singing praises about his experience here. I really had fun with my dad and Vanessa taught us some new things, which we will be happy to use in future classes. If you want to take your foodie experience to the next level with a friend, partner, parent etc. Give Vanessa a chance. I will most definitely be returning with my partner in the fall for couples cooking.

I had the pleasure of attending a dinner party Aphrodite Cooks was catering and the food was delicious!!! Coffee crusted beef tenderloin, maple and grainy mustard salmon, Gruyere potato gratin were a few highlights of this wonderful meal. I highly recommend Vanessa and look forward to enjoying more of her amazing food.

I have enlisted the help of Vanessa from Aphrodite Cooks to cater events, and have highly recommended to others who’ve had great experiences, too.
Recently Aphrodite Cooks catered a small personal event, dropping off food at my home. Vanessa suggested a variety of delicious options, and the menu we proceeded with was so delicious and everyone enjoyed (and our gluten-free and vegan friends were not afterthoughts and had delicious dishes to enjoy, too!).
We appreciated everything Vanessa did to make our gathering special. Everyone REALLY enjoyed the food - salad rolls, bao, a variety of satays, and pomelo salad - and repeatedly asked where it was from, noting everything was delicious! It’s really difficult to pick a favourite because everything was so good - 10/10! All of our dishes were packed & labelled so well, which made it super easy to plate and enjoy. The quantities and portions were also really well done; no one left hungry and nothing went to waste (there were a few left overs - just enough for me to have the next day at lunch which I was thrilled to revisit, haha!). Her prices are beyond fair, and worth every penny for the quality, creativity, presentation, and seamless planning & execution.
Thrilled with everything, and can’t wait for another occasion to reach out for Aphrodite Cooks’ delicious expertise & support.

I have had the pleasure of attending several cooking classes with Aphrodite Cooks and hiring them for private family events. The food is always delicious, fresh and Vanessa was easy to work when it came to arranging the managing the events. I participated in a virtual cooking class hosted by Vanessa and it was so much fun! All the ingredients were provided ahead of time which was very helpful. I joined the Thai themed night which was an enjoyable introduction to some new meal ideas. Vanessa was an awesome host – she provided lots of clear instructions and she had plenty of patient. I’ve already signed up for another cooking class with her for Valentines Day! Until we can enjoy classes like this in person, Aphrodite Cooks has done a great job at providing safe and delicious alternatives to help get through the winter. I would recommend the virtual cooking class as a great way to learn new recipes or for a unique date night!

I really enjoyed the group interaction and the cooking instructions and product knowledge. For example you use rice flour in a batter for your deep fried bananas you will get a light crispy texture.

I recently had a Lunch & Learn session for my staff, and asked Vanessa to provide the catering services for a group of 13.
The food was exceptional - all of my staff enjoyed the meal, and not only did the food taste great, the dessert was scrumptious (Vanessa, I really need that recipe!).
I will continue to use Vanessa in future for all my Lunch & Learn sessions, she is now our resident chef 🙂

I surprised my wife with a valentines special cooking class with Aphrodite Cooks and it was the best cooking experience we have had. Also, it was virtual due to covid but felt as if we were in the class! Vanessa, the Chef, is very professional and talented! Because it was virtual we paid a little extra to have the ingredients delievered to the house and the ingredients were already measured and split up and washed and fresh! She also through in a proseco bottle and bath bomb as a valentines gift! We made lobster ravioli and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you Vanessa for this awesome experience and looking forward to our next session! Cheers!

I was just recently at Aphrodite Cooks for a group cooking class. Chef Vanessa is amazing! Our group was divided into teams to prepare different courses of the meal which we then shared at the end. She was very kind and helped show us how to prepare ravioli, short ribs among other scrumptious menu items. We were able to learn some helpful cooking/preparation techniques too. And we left with the recipes! It was a refreshing, unique experience which my husband and I appreciated so much. It gets tiresome always doing dinner and a movie on a date night. This puts a fun spin on a night out and the meal could not have been better. Thanks Chef Vanessa Yeung!

I would like to thank Vanessa from Aphrodite Cooks for the fantastic service she provided at a recent open house I was in charge of. Never having been involved in the planning of such an event, some things slipped through the cracks and booking a caterer was one of them. Vanessa was able to step up at the last minute, provide a truly wonderful meal at an incredibly affordable price. Everyone raved about the food and the professional service provided. If you're looking to host a unique corporate event, Aphrodite Cooks will not let you down! We recently held a client appreciation night at their location and it was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
Vanessa and her team demonstrated the art of pasta making, and then got our guests involved in the cooking, which everyone loved! We all learned some new skills. After that, we enjoyed a full sit-down meal to feast on the delicious food we just made. There were also appetizers and charcuterie before the meal and a bar throughout. It was the perfect blend of activity/mingling time.
The chefs leading the cooking class were engaging and skilled, and the server and bartender were attentive and friendly. The kitchen/event space is lovely, complete with sparkling appliances, harvest tables and fresh flowers. Their team made the planning process easy and made sure every detail was taken care of.
The best part? Our guests loved it. It was a hit! Many remarked that it was a welcome change from traditional corporate events, and that they now want to hire Aphrodite Cooks for their own events/catering!

It is rare in this day of impromptu cooking classes by non-chefs. Vanessa's teaching method is of the highest calibre, equal to her pot stickers. Her classes came recommended by my friends. One of the best cooking classes out there!

Last night my Wife and I took part in Aphrodite Cooks virtual Knife Skills class. We were lucky enough to have the owner of Aphrodite Cooks, Vanessa Yeung instruct the class. Even better was Aphrodite Cooks dropped off all the food ingredients needed for the class the day before. It was a great refresher of Knife Skills from grip and hand positioning, and cutting techniques like julienne & chiffonade, it was a fantastic and well instructed class. Better yet we made some delicious food along the way. A refreshing mango salad was well accompanied with chicken thighs stuffed with artichoke and sun dried tomatoes.
My Wife and I can't wait for more interactive classes offered by this fine group.

My husband and I enjoyed a date night this past Saturday evening @ Aphrodite Cooks in Etobicoke. We went there for a Chinese New Year Dumplings cooking class and our experience was beyond our expectations!! The owner/head chef Vanessa Yeung and her team lead a very interactive and fun class where we learned how to make 4 different types of dumplings. The class was very organized and hands on and the best part was eating our own delicious creations! I would highly recommend booking a cooking lesson @ Aphrodite Cooks, whether it be for a date night or evening out with friends! My husband and I plan on booking our next cooking lesson soon and this time as a double date with our best friends. Thank you Vanessa and Team for a wonderful evening!!!

My wife and I took the beginner makimono sushi class together on our anniversary and had a stellar time. Sang is an excellent teacher who prefaced the class with facts and history, and he's a compelling storyteller. I'm all thumbs but even I constructed some beautiful rolls. The class was exceptional value for the money. It's rare that I walk away from an activity feeling like I got more than my money's worth, but Sang Kim's class undoubtedly gave me that feeling.

Such a great experience at the Knife Skills 101 class! Chef Vanessa was so helpful and had great cooking tips. We really liked the intimate class environment and the nice dinner we got to enjoy afterwards! Highly recommend!

Such an amazing afternoon!
I booked a private lunch class for the company I work for, which was a team of 20 people. The process of booking was very simple and stress free. Everyone got involved in some way or another. The menu options all sounded so delicious it was hard to choose! The venue itself was immaculate. Very large, clean, professional space.
Vanessa, Alec and Donna were such a great team. The whole event felt very seamless and fun! Especially for such a young company, we were all very impressed.
And, of course, the food we prepared was delicious! We sat down all together and enjoyed what we had created and Vanessa has even sent us the recipes to try ourselves at home 🙂
10/10 I would definitely recommend trying this out!

Vanessa Yeung, owner of Aphrodite Cooks, is an amazing chef! She is both fun and creative in the kitchen, and has excellent people skills with clients. Her studio is a lovely environment for a cooking class. She is also a caterer extraordinaire for a variety of events, parties and occasions. Also think of Aphrodite Cooks for corporate catering that is healthy and delicious.

We attended a cooking class here with an Indian harvest menu. We learned a lot and also enjoyed the laid back approach to the class, which allowed participants to oscillate between being engaged or hanging back and socializing. The food was fantastic. We made so many dishes. Would definitely return.

We held a special family birthday dinner party at our home and chose Aphrodite Cooks to provide a drop-off buffet meal for the occasion. From planning to execution, the entire experience was outstanding. Vanessa was extremely responsive, flexible, and even personally delivered the dishes. She offered valuable suggestions to meet our needs, accommodated dietary restrictions no problem, and -- most importantly -- the food was absolutely delicious! I wholeheartedly recommend Aprodite Cooks.

My husband and I attended the Chinese New Year dumpling class and had a great time. All of the food we made was delicious and we could really feel the family hospitality from Chef Vanessa and her family who were involved in running the class. Everything was very well organized and we got to participate in making everything on the menu (not just one item like some other classes I've been to). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun evening out!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Tiramisu class.
A friendly group of attendees. We were taught by an expert who know what he was doing and explained everything thoroughly. The end result was absolutely delicious too. I highly recommend all classes at Aphrodite Cooks!!!

Very enjoyable experience! We did the steak frites class and the quality and end result of the food was great. Also very nice ambiance and the chefs were very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend and definitely one of the more affordable cooking classes! Only feedback would be to maybe involve the participants a little more in the actual cooking but I am not sure how this compares to other classes/standards.
