Valentine’s Day – Food and Beer Pairing – The Flavours of India

Join us in the kitchen to help celebrate Valentine’s Day with your plus one as we explore the culinary creations of Chef Veronica Mal. We will explore some traditional flavours of India paired with beer by the Bier Professor himself Roger Mittag www.thirstforknowledge.ca. This class will be held at the historic St. Lawrence Market. You and your Valentine will travel and cook through four stations and then sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Beer is included with your class.

Station 1

Aloo Paratha – make and eat this fried and buttery potato stuffed bread

Station 2

Indian Chaat Salad РInspired by chaat stands lined on the streets of northern india, we will make an indian street food classic with a healthy twist.  Crunchy Sev, minted Yogurt dressing, legumes, sprouts, seeds, tamarind and lime make this a salad that will be packed full of flavour and texture.

Station 3

Surf & Turf – Garam Masala Crusted Strip, Aloo-Gobi Smash, Tamarind Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Ghee & Chili Shrimp, Mint Chimmi

Station 4

Chai Team Pots De Creme (made ahead) with Cardamom-Pistachio Cookies, Rose Petal Garnish
